Poet Healed by John Crandall

Using the Amherst Writers and Artists Method (AWA), John will facilitate a general writing group. No experience is necessary, and all genres are acceptable.

Only one rule is important: all present will write (even if only their shopping list). Pens and Paper will be supplied. Copies of John’s book, Poet Healed, will be available.

Join Laurie as she tells guests about her experiences in education, employment, parenthood, and grandparenthood as a person with a lifelong disability, a form of muscular dystrophy called spinal muscular atrophy.

She will talk about her memoir, titled I Can Dance, and will explain where the title came from and why it is so meaningful both to her and to readers.

The author will answer questions, and signed bookplates will be available.
